Identity?

In the past decade, Charlotte has flourished not only as an emerging prominent American city but also as a sports mecca. 

The Carolina Panthers were conference champions in 2003. 

Although the Hornets relocated to New Orleans in 2002, the NBA eagerly granted Charlotte another franchise.  The Charlotte Bobcats began play in 2004 and are currently owned by Carolina favorite and NBA great Michael Jordan. 

Recently, the Charlotte 49ers men's soccer team were NCAA College Cup runners-up, and the schools football team will play their inaugural season in 2012. 

Lacrosse, one of the fastest growing sports in the nation, will have a profession presence in the Carolinas as Major League Lacrosse announced the expansion Charlotte Hounds will also begin play in 2012.

So what is Charlotte?  Charlotte is national.  Charlotte is sports.
