What is Charlotte?

Identity is key.  It tells you what a city wants to be.  Charlotte has grown in many ways over the last century.  Population figures may provide a quantitative measure, but the growth of Charlotte's brand is relative.  Through the history of sports in the Queen City may the evolution of Charlotte from a regional center to world class city be revealed.
