The Charlotte Park and Recreation Commission had to prove they were not discriminating against black citizens by denying them the right to use Revolution Park, in which the Bonnie Brae Golf Course was located. Attorney Thomas H. Wyche, Chairman Charlotte Branch Legal Commission and Spottswood W. Robinson, 3rd were the attorneys for the appellants. The case was won in N.C. Superior Court.
